Application Usage: We collect usage data about what features of the application you use.

Camera: If permission is granted, the camera is only used to collect the data the user wants to be sent up to Polaris.

Files: If permission is granted, we only access files to be sent up to our system at the user's choosing.

Device and Connection Information: We collect information about your phone, tablet, or other devices you use to access the Services. This device information includes your connection type and settings when you install, access, update, or use our app.

What do we do with the information collected?

Below are the specific purposes for which we use the information we collect about you.

To provide services and personalize your experience: Use information about you to provide the Services to you, including to process transactions with you, authenticate you when you log in, provide customer support, and operate and maintain the Services. For example, the location data can be used to display the user’s location in realtime to command staff and other users to help with situational awareness and safety. The information can then be used for dispatch or for emergency alerts or for on scene notifications. Uploaded files are sent to our Polaris website for the user to view, access, and interact with. Files taken using the camera are similarly uploaded to Polaris and managed in the same way.

For research and development: We are always looking for ways to make our Services smarter, faster, secure, integrated, and useful to you. We also test and analyze certain new features with some users before rolling the feature out to all users. We use your contact information to send transactional communications via email and within the Services, including reminding you of subscription expirations, responding to your comments, questions and requests, providing customer support, and sending you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and administrative messages.
